Dear loyal supporters and wombat lovers, I need to let you honestly know where I stand tonight. It pains my heart but to be honest we have no choice. I need to put it all on the line tonight and ask for your help. For our wombats x
Over the past few months, our small but mighty team has been tirelessly working to rescue and care for wombats in need. The support we provide to the wild wombat community is a monumental effort, one that we wouldn't trade for the world. But here's the stark reality…the need to help support feed wombats in the wild has grown tremendously and the cost of providing these wombats with the care they deserve has soared, particularly when it comes to the price and transport of their food and hay.
Tonight, I must admit that our organisation is facing an unexpected financial challenge. We had hoped to make it to our annual giving day on World Wombat Day next month, but the truth is, we're struggling right now.
We're faced with a significant shortfall, and it's imperative that we address it urgently.
Our commitment to these wonderful short and round loves of ours remains unwavering, but we can't do it alone. We need your help to bridge this gap and continue our mission of saving wombats and giving them the love and care they need.
Just yesterday we rescued another critically ill wombat. As always. we are working around the clock trying to save him. It will be a long road to recovery with lots of late nights, bottle feeds and tender loving care needed for him. It’s why we were put on this planet, to help those wombats in their time of need and darkest hours. We will be there every step of the way for him. It’s our promise to you
The calls for help are intensifying. We love our wombats and couldn’t think of doing anything else with our days than rescuing and caring for our wombats. However, it’s a 24/7 job for the rest of our lives. It’s a commitment. I’m sure you can understand. We are up for the challenge, we always will be.
However, an increase in the number of wombats that need our help including their condition plus the increase in food costs has really hit us hard. Tonight you can directly impact the lives of these remarkable wombats, ensuring they receive the nourishment, shelter, and care they need to thrive.
We have a current shortfall of $30,000. It is urgent. I thought I could get through to our annual World Wombat Giving Day in a few weeks but I just can’t. It is imperative that we raise these funds right now. I can’t be any more direct about this.
Just $5 from each and every one of you would get us to our goal. It’s the cost of your next cup of coffee but one that will help us so very much get through the tough time we face.
We receive no government grants or support so are completely reliant on your help tonight. Please be assured that every dollar that you donate goes straight to the wombats in our care.
We need you tonight. We really do. To give all those precious wombats that deserve a second chance.
